Berkley Bank is a branch of the State Bank of Downs, chartered in 1892.   

The State Bank of Downs is a long standing community bank, headquartered in Downs, Kansas. Downs is a small agricultural based community located in North Central Kansas. The State Bank of Downs has survived and grown over the past 120 years throughout the Great Depression, Savings & Loan Crisis of the 1980’s, and the 2008 Recession.

The stockholders of the State Bank of Downs are members of the Berkley family. The State Bank of Downs was purchased by the Berkley family from the original founders in 1961. Today, the fourth generation Kansas banking family is conservatively growing the Bank's presence in Colorado with an experienced team.  Our Difference is helping us achieve this growth.
